The Optimised Waste and Logistics (OWL) roadshows are back this autumn with a world-class CPD-accredited programme filled with essential knowledge for fleet operators.
The first OWL Roadshow – the NI Waste Expo – will be kicking off in Belfast on October 13 at the Crown Plaza Belfast. The first-ever OWL Ireland follows the NI Waste Expo on October 15 held at the Killashee Hotel.
Every local authority’s fleet department needs to invest in cleaner vehicles while reducing its carbon footprint. OWL Scotland will provide unbiased information that will help fleet managers achieve their emissions goals.
The team behind OWL Scotland has designed the conference, so operators have access to the latest information on how to reduce emissions, increase air quality and to improve driver wellbeing.

OWL Scotland, the conference aimed at the waste and logistics sector, takes place on October 29 and promises to answer any inquiries waste, fleet and transport managers might have on the electrification of fleet.

An informed response to the air quality crisis
After a very successful OWL Wales, where there was a record attendance of over 70 delegates from over 25 councils and contracting organisations, the OWL Partnership is delighted to announce that we have nearly completed OWL Scotland’s programme.
Taking place at the stunning Mar Hall in Bishopston on October 29, 2020, OWL Scotland will tackle issues faced by public sector fleet managers and their peers in contracting businesses.
Once again we are delighted to be supporting Dennis Eagle at their annual Ride & Drive event on 10 September.
The challenge for participants is to navigate a course designed to test the drivers’ capabilities to handle a waste collection vehicle and the driver with the highest EEDI* score wins. CMS will be providing the telematics to monitor how each participant is driving, including speeding, harsh acceleration and throtte alerts.

This year the National Refuse Championships take place on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 June and CMS SupaTrak will be there supporting our colleagues.
This fun family day out is an annual celebration of the people who collect waste and recycling and sees colleagues from all across the UK compete in a test of strength and stamina, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
